Loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Jean O’Neill Paquin, passed away on Sunday, March 11 2018 after suffering from complications from emergency heart surgery while on vacation in Florida.  She was 70 years young.

The youngest of 5, Jean was born on April 10, 1947 in Montclair, NJ to her loving parents J. Vincent & Catherine O’Neill.  She grew up in New Jersey, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Wilmette, IL, and graduated from Trinity College in Washington, DC in 1969.

She married the love of her life, (the late) Thomas C. Paquin in a beautiful ceremony in San Francisco on August 5, 1972.  Together, they raised two fantastic children, Martha & Ted Paquin.  Jean stayed at home with the kids for many years before going back to work in her true passion - early childhood education.

Jean was the former President of the Yarmouth Port Library, an active member of Cummaquid Golf Club (though her enjoyment of golf paled in comparison to her enjoyment of the social events), a dedicated parishioner of St Pius X church, ever-willing travel companion (though she hated to fly), expert watercolor artist, and an excellent baker.

In addition to being survived by her two children, Jean (aka Nan) leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Aiden and Etta, with another grandchild due to arrive this May.  She is also survived by her brother Don, sister Kay & her husband Jim, Guy & Celeste DeVincentis, Elizabeth & Edward Smyth, daughter-in-law Stephanie, and countless nieces and nephews that she absolutely adored.  She was the sister of the late Robert and Nancy O’Neill, and the late John & Paul Paquin.  She leaves behind an endless amount of friends, who will always remember her as a never-ending ray of light & happiness.  Unfortunately for us all, she has been reunited with Tom once again.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a trust for her grandson, the ‘Jean Paquin Memorial Fund’ PO Box 38, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675 or any Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod location.
